Juraj Slafkovský is known for switching stick manufacturers and models.
Slafkovský used a Bauer Vapor HyperLite when he first broke into the league in October 2022, before switching to the HyperLite 2 early in the 2023-24 season.
We have a Supreme 2S Pro XL (dressed as a HyperLite 2) with his name, which has a higher kick point than this Sherwood Rekker Morph Pro.
Slafkovský used five different stick models in 2023-24, his first 82-game season in the NHL, moving from the HyperLite 2 to the CCM JetSpeed FT6 Pro, then to the FT7 and finally to the Sherwood Rekker Legend Pro as he put up 50 points.
He stuck with Sherwood through the 2024-25 season, switching to the Rekker Legend Pro gloves eventually moving to the Rekker Morph Pro stick as the Canadiens made it back to the playoffs. But his point total that year hardly increased, as he recorded 51 points in 79 games.
Going into the 2025-26 season, Slafkovský switched to the Bauer Pulse. He then set career-highs in goals (30), assists (43) and points (73), helping Montreal reach the second round of the playoffs.
This Sherwood Rekker Morph Pro contains a similar build to what we’ve seen from his NHL sticks so far: 95 flex, P28 Blade (Blade 6) and 64” height. He uses a relatively stiff flex for a young player, but it seems to compliment his game alongside his no-nonsense standard grip and stock curve, though we've also seen him experiment with a P28Max blade.
