Taylor Hall Stick Spec Check

What Stick Does Taylor Hall Use?

Spec Check - Taylor Hall

First and foremost a huge congratulations to Taylor Hall on becoming a Stanley Cup champion after 16 long years of grinding.

Taylor Hall has had one hall of a career. Drafted first overall by the Edmonton Oilers after putting up a whopping 106 points in 57 games for the Windsor Spitfires. During his junior career and early days with the Oilers Hall was an Easton guy, even including his helmet! Hall has used Easton, Warrior, and CCM sticks throughout his career. During his time with Easton and Warrior he used the old Easton Yzerman curve which is a square toe with a very deep mid curve. He switched to his current P90t curve when he made the switch over to CCM sticks with the Bruins, the P90t definitely carters more towards the modern way of shooting off the toe. He has only changed his curve once throughout his entire 16 year career. He has used a 95 flex stick for as far back as we can find which makes sense given his size and style of play. Hall has jumped between the different CCM stick lines, bouncing from Jetspeed to Ribcor, and back to Jetspeed most recently with the FT8 Pro.

Would you have stayed with the Yzerman curve or is the switch to the P90t the right move?

Now that Taylor Hall is a Stanley Cup champion I think it’s time to come out with a bit of a hot take and say that if you take away the injuries from the beginning of his career and allow him to remain free he could have been a top 5 player in the NHL.
