What Stick Does Brock Nelson Use?
Spec Check - Brock Nelson
Brock Nelson does not play the flashiest game, nor does he have the flashiest specs but boy oh boy are they both super reliable. Brock has tried everything under the sun in terms of stick brands, this year alone he has dabbled with CCM, Warrior, True, PRO Reserve, and ultimately Bauer. In our new Islanders drop he has 5 total stick variations from 3 brands. Like many other players from 2014-2019 Brock decided he wanted to try out STX sticks. STX as a brand is huge in Lacrosse much like how Bauer or CCM are in the Hockey industry and in 2013 they announced that they would try their hand in the hockey world. They sent their products to many players across the NHL and eventually landed quite a few full time users. The stick that Brock went for was the STX Stallion HPR which was the third iteration of their mid kick line of sticks following the Stallion 500 and 600. He was testing 90 flex which is 5 flex lighter than what he would usually be gaming. That was about all that he changed from his regular specs, rocking a standard P92(X92) at 64” which makes sense given the fact that he is 6’ 4. As of late he has started experimenting with the P86 and the Pro Hossa which is the logical transition from the P92. For only $100 this might be the best deal we currently have on a Pro stock stick.
Would you test out a STX stick?
Do the Avalanche win the cup this year? If not them, who can stop them?
