What Stick Does Noah Dobson Use?
Spec Check - Noah Dobson
Noah Dobson has been having himself one hell of a playoff run especially while dealing with a thumb injury. During this playoff run he has been using a Bauer Proto-2 dressed as a blacked out Flylite. Although he has been a Bauer guy for quite some time now, there was a time when he was a loyal CCM user (definitely not because of the CHL rule). During the late stages of his junior career with Acadie-Bathurst and the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies he was using this stick, the OG CCM Jetspeed. The Jetspeed was CCM’s first take on a hybrid kickpoint stick and took off both at the retail and pro level. It was one of CCM’s first sticks with a full 18k carbon fiber build. Dobson has stayed very consistent with his specs throughout his entire career, staying with a P29M/P92M since he entered the league. The max blade hadn’t fully hit its stride quite yet, so he hopped on that train pretty early on its rise to fame. He is pretty standard when it comes to flex, using an 85 on most of the sticks we have received from him over the years. He has dabbled with stiffer but typically finds his way back to the 85-87 range depending on the brand(Bauer just had to be different). Although he is 6’ 4, all of the CCM sticks we received from him are stock height but the Bauers we received are 64”... maybe his D-coach with the Islanders told him to start experimenting with a shorter stick?
Do you think he will try to branch out from Bauer over the next few years? Or is he a Bauer lifer?
Can the Habs pull off the upset and drag them through a 7 game series win for the Cup finals berth? Or do the Canes roll them and keep their perfect record?
