Sarah Fillier Stick Spec Check

What Stick Does Sarah Fillier Use?

Sarah Fillier has been a staple of Canadian women's hockey since her debut with the u-18 National team back in 2016. The Canadian women’s team played extremely well and walked away with Silver at the end of the tournament after a heartbreaking overtime loss. She also had herself quite the Olympic tournament in Milan this year maintaining a point per game and a plus 2 rating. Sarah has some unbelievable taste when it comes to her stick specs, she is currently using a 50 flex CCM Jetspeed FT7 Pro with the Marian Hossa pro curve. It took her a little while to get to these specs, she began her career with Princeton University using a P88 and finished it using a P28 on a Bauer Vapor Hyperlite 2 (Princeton was a Bauer school during her time there). After being selected first overall by the New York Sirens in 2024 she made the switch over to CCM with the FT7 Pro. These are some wicked specs, standing in at roughly 5’ 5 140 pounds the 50 flex 56” height stick makes sense as it will make it easier to take advantage of the stick while using a whippy flex. The Hossa curve has been growing in popularity even quicker post retirement (shoutout big Hoss) than it did while he was still in the league. It is fairly similar in curve style to the P86 but has a lie 5 and a slightly different blade shape. This curve has been extremely popular for those looking for a deeper toe curve that's not the stock P28.

Do you think Sarah can power the Canadian team to Olympic gold in 2030? Would you use this Hossa variant or are you sticking more to the basics?
