What Stick Does William Karlsson Use?
Spec Check - William Karlsson
Wild Bill missed a majority of the 2025-26 season after suffering a lower-body injury on November 8th. Upon his return to the lineup in game one of the second round, he was an instant impact player. He is currently using a Warrior Alpha LX2 Pro retail graphic with a stock P28, which is the same stick setup he had the last time the Golden Knights won Lord Stanley. Karlsson is a great example of the current trend with NHL players, he began his career when everybody and their mother was using their own custom curve but now he’s in the era of everyone using pretty much the same thing. This Warrior Alpha DX features his own custom curve which most closely resembles a W03 in terms of the curve itself. The blade shape is where it gets super unique, he is using a very thin and long blade that almost resembles a barebones P28. He has now fallen into the modern day retail curve propaganda and is using a retail P28 rather than his own custom curve. He is still using a stiffer flex of 95 which funny enough is exactly half of his listed body weight. Maybe there still is some merit to the half your body weight buying guide in terms of stick flex (definitely not).
Would you have your own custom curve if you were a professional hockey player? If so, what would it look like?
Do you think Vegas will take it home this year?
