At HockeyStickMan, hockey is more than just a game — it’s a way to give back. That’s why we’re incredibly proud of our growing partnership with Hockey Helps The Homeless (HHTH), a national organization that uses the power of hockey to support Canadians experiencing homelessness.

From the Ice to Impact

Our work with HHTH began last season when we proudly became the official Pro Stick Sponsor for their charity tournaments. If you’ve ever attended one of their events, you know they bring in 10 to 14 former NHL pros to join local teams for a truly unforgettable day on the ice.

These events aren't just for fun — they raise critical funds for local shelters and frontline organizations. But there was one thing we noticed right away: many of the former pros hadn’t used top-end sticks since their playing days. Once they left the league, they no longer had access to the kind of elite gear they were used to.

So, we stepped in

Sticks That Feel Like Home

We outfitted every pro player with a Pro Blackout Extra Lite stick, customized to their preferred curve from our massive selection of over 25 options. The feedback? Overwhelmingly positive. Some of these players, including names like Mike Gartner, Gary Roberts and Adam Graves have continued using our sticks long after the final whistle blew — a true testament to their quality and feel.

Local Events, National Reach

Beyond supplying sticks, we’ve had boots on the ground at every local HHTH event. Our pop-up shops and demo stations give participants the chance to try our gear and connect with the brand firsthand. This past year, we expanded our reach by attending events across the country, from Ontario to Calgary and even out to Kelowna, building lasting relationships while supporting a great cause.

Custom Gear, Bigger Goals

For the 2024-25 season, we’ve taken things even further. As the National Incentive Partner, we created 400 fully custom HHTH Pro Blackout Extra Lite sticks — featuring a one-of-a-kind design exclusive to the organization. These sticks are awarded to players who hit fundraising milestones, turning effort into reward and motivation into meaningful impact.

Why It Matters

At our core, HockeyStickMan believes that giving back through hockey is not just powerful — it’s necessary. HHTH’s work directly supports people in need, funding crucial services through the game we all love. We’re honoured to stand alongside them and help make a real difference, one stick at a time.
